My Auxiliary is interested in hosting a Gold Buy Back Fundraiser and has asked that I research this concept.  If you have held one of these fundraisers, can you please answer the following questions or post any other information you might have:

What company did you use for the Gold Buy Back?

What percentage of the buy back did you receive?

How competitive was their pricing with the current value of gold?

What kind of comments/concerns did you get from the employees?

Would you hold this event again?

We used the Gold Refinery (the lady that came to our conference).  We got 20% but I do not know how competitive the prices were.  We made $380 at SJE, and $1130 at SJH.  We have also made $146 on private sales (people who have a party at home and invite their friends to sell). 

We had some problems before the sale because of the flyer.  We found a lot of flyers with things about solicitation written on them by employees.  But as for the sale itself and after, we have not heard any negative comments, but we have a heard a few stories about how much some of our folks made selling their stuff.

I would have them back because the sale is so easy!  We dont have to do anything except distribute the flyers.
